Indications of Zoladin 5 ml Ophthalmic Suspension
This medication is used to treat people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who have high intraocular pressure.
Pharmacology of Zoladin 5 ml Ophthalmic Suspension
Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that decreases aqueous fluid secretion in the ciliary processes of the eye, lowering intraocular pressure (IOP).
Brimonidine Tartrate is an alpha 2 adrenergic receptor agonist that lowers IOP by increasing uveoscleral outflow and lowering aqueous humor generation.
Dosage & Administration of Zoladin 5 ml Ophthalmic Suspension
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily. If more than one topical ophthalmic drug is being used, the drugs should be administered at least five minutes apart. Shake well before use.
Interaction of Zoladin 5 ml Ophthalmic Suspension
Drug interactions with high-dose salicylate therapy, CNS depressants, Antihypertensives/ Cardiac Glycosides, Tricyclic Antidepressants, and Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors have been reported in individuals treated with this drop. As a result, patients receiving Brinzolamide + Brimonidine Tartrate should be aware of the possibility of such medication interactions.
Contraindications
Patients who are hypersensitive to Brinzolamide, Brimonidine Tartrate, or any other chemical in the formulation, as well as neonates and infants, should not take it (under the age of 2 years).
Side Effects of Zoladin 5 ml Ophthalmic Suspension
The most commonly reported side effects include blurred vision, eye irritation, bad taste and dry mouth.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Category C pregnancy. In pregnant women, there are no sufficient and well-controlled trials. Only if the possible benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus should Brinzolamide and Brimonidine Tartrate ophthalmic suspension be used during pregnancy.
Brinzolamide and Brimonidine Tartrate are not known to be excreted in human milk. Giving this ophthalmic suspension to a nursing mother should be done with caution.
Precautions & Warnings
Before using, give it a good shake. Only for ophthalmic use. Contact lenses should be removed after Brinzolamide and Brimonidine Tartrate ophthalmic suspension instillation, although they can be reinserted 15 minutes later.

Storage Conditions
Store at room temperature & protect from light. Do not touch dropper tip to any surface. It is desirable that the contents should not be used more than one month after first opening of the bottle. Shake well before use & do not freeze.
