Description

Indications

This applies to the treatment and prevention of zinc and vitamin B deficiencies.

Pharmacology

Zinc is essential for many biological functions, such as enhancing immunity, wound healing, digestion, reproduction, physical development, and intellectual development. Zinc supports normal growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. Zinc also has some antioxidant properties. Zinc is used to treat children with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). In adults, due to zinc deficiency, loss of appetite, bad taste and smell, the tendency to depression, white marks on nails, frequent infections, low fertility, prostate problems, mental problems, poor wound healing, immune system poor, diarrhea, maybe There is mental drowsiness, rough skin, and weight loss.

B vitamins are needed to release energy from food. They play an important role in ensuring healthy brain and nerve function and healthy red blood cell formation in children and adults. They are especially necessary for the healthy growth and development of children. Vitamin B deficiency in adults can lead to extreme fatigue and various types of neurological manifestations, which can include weakness, poor balance, confusion, irritability, memory loss, tension, tingling in the extremities, and loss of coordination. Other symptoms of vitamin B deficiency include sleep disturbances, nausea, loss of appetite, frequent infections, and skin damage.

Dosage & Administration

Syrup-

  • Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 2 to 3 times daily or as recommended by the physician.
  • Children: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1 to 3 times daily or as recommended by the physician.
  • Infants: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 1 to 2 times daily or as recommended by the physician.

Tablet-

  • For adults & Children over 30 kg: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times daily or as recommended by the physician.

Interaction

Simultaneous intake of tetracycline and zinc may reduce GI absorption and serum levels of tetracycline. Similarly, simultaneous administration of zinc and fluoroquinolones may reduce the GI absorption and serum levels of certain fluoroquinolones. Co-administration of niacin and HMG CoA reductase inhibitors (such as lovastatin) can cause myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. Pyridoxine reduces the effectiveness of levodopa by increasing peripheral metabolism. A combination of pyridoxine and phenytoin may reduce serum phenytoin levels.

Contraindications

Patients who are known to be allergic to any of the ingredients in this product should not use vitamin B-zinc complex.

Side Effects

It is usually well tolerated. However, some side effects can occur, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and an upset stomach. Side effects of certain vitamins have been reported, but generally at levels much higher than recommended doses.

Pregnancy & Lactation

This is recommended in pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions & Warnings

Accumulation of zinc can occur in acute renal failure, so the dose needs to be adjusted. This is not to treat specific serious deficiencies.
