Pharmacology
Diprofen sodium is an effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with significant anti-rheumatic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. It also has a certain effect of promoting uric acid excretion. Diclofenac exerts its effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, which play an important role in causing inflammation, pain and fever. Diclofenac is quickly and completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract when taken or taken after meals. The peak plasma concentration is reached on average 2 hours after ingestion. At therapeutic concentrations, its binding rate to plasma proteins is 99.7%. Diclofenac is metabolized in the liver and undergoes first-pass metabolism.
