Description
Generic
Glycerol + Hypromellose + Polyethylene Glycol 400
Indications
It is suitable for relieving symptoms of burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes or exposure to wind or sunlight. It is also suitable for the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca.
Pharmacology
This eye drops is a transparent, almost colorless, water-based lubricating sterile eye drop that can be dripped into the eyes. After topical use of these eye drops, it will quickly spread on the conjunctiva and cornea, forming a protective and lubricating film. Polyethylene glycol 400 can increase the stability of the tear film, and due to its higher mucosal adhesion properties, hypromellose helps the tear film adhere to the ocular surface. Glycerin restores moisture for dry eyes. Electrolytes similar to natural tears can maintain a good corneal epithelial surface.
Dosage & Administration
1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily.
Interaction
If multiple medications are to be administered to the eye, at least 5 minutes must elapse between each application.
