L-Lysine Hydrochloride



Infections in cuts, wounds, abrasions, surgical incisions, and burns are treated and prevented with this medication. Decubitus or stasis ulcers, advanced chronic wounds, infected traumatic lesions, and other conditions.



In the presence of blood plasma derived growth factor, the active ingredient, Lysine hydrochloride, an essential amino acid that is soluble in water, has been demonstrated to enhance in-situ cellular proliferation in acute and chronic wound beds (s). The essential amino acid enhances wound healing by promoting active and regulated in-situ cell regeneration. It also protects wounds from common pathogens.


Dosage & Administration

Gel or Ointment may be used as often as required, preferably at an interval of 24, 48, 72 hrs. The affected areas should be cleaned with normal saline and/or surgically if necessary till the wound bed looks red/few bleeding points appear in the cleaned wound bed. Then gel should be applied liberally. The areas may be covered with a moist dressing and/or a bandage.



Not to be used in known cases of hypersensitivity to the amino acid. No other known contraindication is known for this essential amino acid.


Side Effects

Slight itching sensation might be there on application.
