Indications
This Gel is a tear fluid substitute for the relief of dry eye symptoms and the management of an unstable tear film.
Pharmacology
This eye is for all patients who are experiencing ocular discomfort. Dry eyes create somewhat hypertonic tear fluid, which quickly “neutralizes” the gel’s mild hypotonicity.
Dosage and Administration
Instill 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s), as needed. The frequency of administration depends on the severity of the condition. On average, one drop is administered 1-3 times daily. If needed, This Gel may be administered more frequently.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product.
Side Effects
Users have reported that this gel is well tolerated. However, after instillation, some people have reported burning, stinging, allergic responses, or red eyes. It has also been observed that after administration, there is a brief blurring of vision.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use in pregnancy & lactation: There is no experience regarding the safety of this Gel in human pregnancy or lactation.
Precautions & Warnings
- This Gel must be stopped and a doctor should be seen if eye pain, changes in vision, prolonged redness, or irritation of the eye is noted.
- The product should not be used if the color of the gel changes or gets hazy.
- It should never be injected beneath the conjunctiva or directly into the anterior chamber of the eye.
- It’s not meant to be utilized in the operating room.
