Description
Generic
Polyethylene Glycol + Propylene Glycol
Indications
This sterile eye drop is intended to provide short relief from burning and irritation caused by dry eyes.
Pharmacology
Clinical studies have shown that combining Polyethylene Glycol 400 with Propylene Glycol reduces both the signs and symptoms of dry eye. The unique gelling and lubricating technology created to respond to each user’s particular tear pH is assumed to be the mechanism of action. A soft gel develops a network of protection over the eye surface when the chemicals in these eye drops react with natural tears. Damaged surface cells of the eye can mend themselves more easily because it fosters a healthy environment on the eye’s surface.
