Pharmacology of Eyebet Eye Drop

Corticosteroids bind to glucocorticoid receptors, inhibit pro-inflammatory signals, and promote anti-inflammatory signals. Betamethasone phosphate has a short effect because it is quickly hydrolyzed to betamethasone. Corticosteroids have a broad therapeutic window because patients may require multiple doses of substances naturally produced by the body. Patients taking corticosteroids should be informed of the risk of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression and increased susceptibility to infection.
