Indications

D-Rise 40000 is suitable for the treatment and prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency. It can also be used as an adjunct to the specific treatment of osteoporosis in patients with vitamin D3 deficiency.

 

Pharmacology

D-Rise 40000 helps the absorption and reabsorption of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D3 is essential for normal bone growth and maintenance of bone density. It can also reduce the severity of bacterial infections, improve lung function, prevent the risk of cancer (breast cancer, colorectal cancer), and help maintain adequate insulin levels for patients with type 2 diabetes.

 

Dosage & Administration

For capsules: Adults:

Treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency: 40,000 IU, once a week for 7 weeks. The maintenance treatment dose is 1,4002,000 IU / day. To determine the target level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, the measured value must be determined 34 months after the start of maintenance therapy.
Prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency: 20,000 IU every 4 weeks. In some cases, higher doses may be required.

Supplement to specific treatments for osteoporosis: 20,000 IU once a month.

capsules: Children (1218 years):

Treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency: 20,000 IU, once every 2 weeks for 6 weeks.

Prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency: 20,000 IU every 6 weeks.

For film-coated tablets: 1000 IU (12 tablets) per day, or as directed by your doctor. Take it with a meal or within 1 hour after a meal.

For oroflash or chewable tablets: 1000 IU to 2000 IU per day, or as directed by your doctor. Take it with a meal or within 1 hour after a meal. After chewing, put the tablet in your mouth and swallow.

For syrup:

For patients at risk of cholecalciferol deficiency:
01 years: 400 IU / day (2 ml)
> 1 year: 600 IU / day (3 ml)

For patients with cholecalciferol deficiency:
01 years: IU / 200 days (+50,000 IU / week),
for 6 weeks.1 18 years: 2000 IU / day, for 6 weeks.

injections: prevention:
babies receive milk rich in vitamin D: 1/2 ampoule (0.5 ml), which is 100,000 IU every 6 months.

Lactating infants or infants who have not received milk rich in vitamin D or infants under 5 years: 1 ampoule (1 ml), equivalent to 2.00000 IU every 6 months.

Adolescents: 1 vial (1ml), which is 2,000 IU every 6 months in winter.

Pregnancy: 1/2 ampoule (0.5 ml), which is 100,000 IU from the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy.

Elderly: 1/2 ampoule (0.5 ml), which is 100,000 IU every 3 months. Diseases of the digestive system, use of antiepileptic drugs, and other special conditions not described above; 1/2 ampoule (0.5 ml) is 100,000 IU or 1 ampoule (1 ml), which is 200,000 IU every 3 to 6 months.

injection:

Vitamin D deficiency:
1 ampoule (1 ml), which is 2,000 IU. May be repeated after 1 to 6 months. Or follow the instructions of a registered physician.

 

Interaction

It interferes with phenytoin, barbiturates, glucocorticoids, certain laxatives (such as liquid paraffin), actinomycin, and imidazole antifungals.

 

Contraindications

Patients known to be allergic to vitamin D3 are contraindicated.

 

Side Effects

General side effects include hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, rash, itching, hives, nausea, and abdominal pain.

 

Pregnancy & Lactation

Studies have shown that doses up to 4000 IU can be used safely during pregnancy. The recommended daily intake for pregnant women is 400 IU, but for women who are considered deficient in vitamin D3, a higher dose may be required. Women during pregnancy should follow the advice of the doctor because their needs may vary depending on the severity of the disease and the response to treatment.
Vitamin D3 and its metabolites are excreted in human milk. An infant overdose caused by a nursing mother has not been observed; however, when prescribing additional vitamin D3 to a breastfed child, the physician should consider any additional vitamin D3 administered to the mother.

 

Precautions & Warnings

Patients with renal insufficiency should be used with caution.
