Pharmacology of Cliomet 5 ml Ear Drop
Flumetasone Pivalate is a difluorinated glucocorticoid with a strong local effect. Its anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, vasoconstrictive, and anti-proliferative properties are all present. It provides immediate comfort and relieves symptoms such as pruritus while also reducing swelling in inflammatory skin disorders of the external auditory meatus.
Clioquinol is a bacteriostatic hydroxyquinoline derivative that has been halogenated. It works against a wide range of microorganisms, including fungi (e.g., Candida, Microsporum, and Trichophyton) as well as Gram-positive bacteria (e.g. Staphylococci). Gram-negative bacteria are also susceptible to it.
