Pharmacology of Caldil PLUS Tablet
This is how Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 are made (Cholecalciferol). Calcium is required for a variety of bodily activities, including bone production and maintenance. Calcium absorption and reabsorption are aided by vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 also aids in the development of bones. Calcium and Vitamin D3 combined have been shown in clinical research to help with bone growth, osteoporosis prevention, and bone fracture prevention.
Dosage & Administration of Caldil PLUS Tablet
Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.
Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.
Interaction of Caldil PLUS Tablet
It may interact with antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, calcitriol, and other vitamin D3 supplements; digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline; and digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in case of hypercalcemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi & nephrolithiasis and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
Side Effects of Caldil PLUS Tablet
It is well tolerated by the majority of people. If you have any side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, or excessive urination while taking this medication, tell your doctor. Constipation is a possibility.
