Description
Indications of Bet-CG 15 Cream
This cream is intended to treat corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses that are worsened by bacterial and fungal infections. Tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis, as well as acute and chronic dermatitis, respond well to this treatment.
Pharmacology of Bet-CG 15 Cream
This Cream combines Betamethasone Dipropionate’s anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties with Clotrimazole’s broad-spectrum antifungal activity and Gentamicin Sulfate’s broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic activity. Clotrimazole appears to have an effect on the fungal cell membrane, allowing the contents of the cell to leak out. Gentamicin is a topical antibiotic that can be used to treat both primary and secondary bacterial infections of the skin.
Dosage & Administration of Bet-CG 15 Cream
Apply gently into the affected skin areas twice daily. Duration of therapy varies depending upon the extent and location of disease and patient response. For effective treatment, This Cream should be applied regularly.
Interaction of Bet-CG 15 Cream
Concurrent usage with nephrotoxic medications including other aminoglycosides, vancomycin, and other cephalosporins, as well as ototoxic drugs like ethacrynic acid and furosemide, can enhance the risk of toxicity.
Contraindications
Patients who have had a history of hypersensitive reactions to any of the ingredients in this cream should avoid it.
Side Effects of Bet-CG 15 Cream
Hypochromia, burning, erythema, exudation, and other adverse responses have been described infrequently.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Because the safety of topical corticosteroids in pregnant women has not been demonstrated, they should only be used if the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus.
The value of the drug to the lactating mother should be considered while deciding whether or not to stop nursing or stop taking the drug.
Precautions & Warnings
Combine with no other corticosteroid-containing medicine. Not for use on the face, and keep away from the eyes. Not to be used for lengthy periods of time or in large regions, beneath an occlusive dressing, on an open wound, in wounded areas, outside genital areas, or skin folds.
