Bepotas Sterile Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of itching associated with signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.
Pharmacology of Bepotas 5 ml Ophthalmic Solution
Bepotastine is a direct H1-receptor antagonist and an inhibitor of the release of histamine from mast cells.
Dosage and Administration of Bepotas 5 ml Ophthalmic Solution
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) twice a day.

Side Effects of Bepotas 5 ml Ophthalmic Solution
The reported side effect is a mild taste in the mouth. Other side effects are eye irritation, headache, and nasopharyngitis.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use in pregnancy: Pregnancy category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Bepotastine Besilate 1.5% Ophthalmic Solution should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Use in lactation: It is not known whether Bepotastine Besilate is excreted in human milk. So, caution should be exercised when Bepotastine Besilate 1.5% Ophthalmic Solution is administered to a nursing woman.
Use in children: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients under 2 years of age have not been established.
Use in elderly patients: No overall difference in safety or effectiveness has been observed between elderly and younger patients.
Precautions & Warnings
Before using Bepotastine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to it. Bepotastine should not be used to treat contact lens-related irritation. Remove contact lenses prior to instillation of Bepotastine.

Storage Conditions
Store in a cold, dry, and light-protected location. Keep out of children’s reach. After opening, do not use for more than 4 weeks.
