Pharmacology of Becoral D Tablet

This is a calcium and vitamin D3 supplement made from calcium carbonate derived from coral. The chemical structure of coral calcium carbonate is extremely similar to the chemical structure of human bone. Coral Calcium is comparable to other calcium sources, however it has a higher absorption rate. Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption from the GI tract and helps the body maintain calcium equilibrium.

Dosage & Administration of Becoral D Tablet

One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by the physician. Taking in full stomach ensures better absorption.

Interaction of Becoral D Tablet

Oral calcium can reduce the absorption of tetracycline and fluoride preparations, and there should be at least 3 hours between the intake of these drugs. Thiazide diuretics can reduce renal calcium excretion. Phenytoin, barbiturates and glucocorticoids can induce vitamin D3 metabolism.
